How I created an iNTERACTIVE 2d gOOGLE dOODLE WITH AR TECHNOLOGY

Created an interactive Google Doodle with Aero, an AR Adobe software. The design goal was to raise awareness about ocean pollution on World Ocean Day

Design Statement

The Google Doodle for World Oceans Day depicts a sardine can filled with human trash, raising awareness about ocean pollution. This theme is conveyed through the use of antithesis and simile.

Synopsis

World Oceans Day is celebrated on June 8th. It raises awareness about the critical role oceans play in sustaining life and the urgent need to protect them from pollution and overexploitation.

First exploration, trying to create something from my culture, such as Cacao,

piñatas and chile.

I started exploring how to do it about Sardine Day, but then it became about

pollution and fishing.

Animation

After having the final design, I decided to create an animation in 2d, to make it look organic, with watercolours and cold-press paper. It took 26 frames to animate and more than 5 hours to create an organic animation with moving shadows.

I used Adobe Aero to create the trigger.

Tropes

Antiphrasis uses sarcasm to raise awareness about ocean pollution. Simile the trash is the new fish from the ocean.
